Kymco has announced their 2013 lineup for Canada; they’re selling three new scooters here next year.
Kymco is introducing a new 49 cc two-stroke, the Like 50 2T, with a MSRP of $2,495. The scooter is carbureted, with a 101 kg dry weight, single disc brake up front with slotted disc and dual-piston caliper, drum brake in back, 780 mm seat height, automatic CVT transmission, adjustable rear shock, a centrestand, 6.5 litres of fuel capacity, and a colour-matched luggage box.
The Like 50 2T will be available in black, red or white, and there’s an optional wireless brake light, scooter cover, and aluminum folding kickstarter. It’ll have a 120/70-12 tire in front and a 130/70-12 tire in back.
As Kymco often does, they also have a bigger version of this scooter, the Like 200i. This scooter has a 163 cc air-cooled four-stroke motor, with EFI and a CVT auto transmission. There’s disc brakes front and rear (with drilled discs and single-piston caliper in back, dual-piston caliper in front), a seven-litre fuel capacity, centrestand, rear storage trunk. Rear suspension is adjustable (with dual shocks).
Seat height is 780 mm, underseat storage is lighted, and available colours are black, red, grey or white. There’s an optional cover and wireless brake light available as well. Dry weight is 120 kg. Tire sizes are 120/70-12 in front and 130/70-12 in rear. MSRP is $3,295.
Kymco is also introducing a new 150 cc model, the Movie 150. It has a 149 cc air-cooled four-stroke motor, with carburetor, electric choke, and a CVT automatic transmission. It has drilled disc brakes front and rear, with dual-piston caliper in front and a single-piston caliper in back.
The Movie 150 has a seven-litre fuel capacity, centrestand, dual adjustable shocks in back, a 780 mm seat height, and a 113.5 kg dry weight. It will be available in black and orange. It has a 110/70-12 tire in front and a 130/70-12 tire in rear.
There’s an optional cover, wireless brake light, and kickstarter available for this scooter. MSRP for the Movie 150 is $3,595.
Kymco is updating the bodywork on their XCiting 500 Ri ABS, with a new set of cat eye headlights. Other than the lighting upgrade, it doesn’t appear that much else has changed with this model.
