Stacey Nesbitt is heading to race in Qatar in November, and you can help her get there.
Nesbitt, who won this season’s CBR250R Challenge, as well as CSBK’s national 2011 CBR125 series, has an invitation from Honda Japan to attend the Asia Dream Cup race in Qatar on Nov.15-17Â at the Losail International Circuit.
The race will be on 250s, so Nesbitt shouldn’t have much trouble getting used to the bike. She could use some help getting to the race, though; racing is expensive, and it’s even more costly to bang bars at the international level. Add up the cost of hotels, flights, etc., and this is a costly trip for a teenager and her team and family to make.
If you’d like to lend a hand, visit her team’s webpage; you can make a PayPal donation there, to help her along. Even the notoriously tight-fisted Editor ‘Arris kicked in a donation, so there’s no reason the rest of you can’t.
By the way, there’s more riding on this than just the Asia Dream Cup race; they’re also going to pick racers at the season’s end to participate in a Moto3 test, so who knows? If Nesbitt does well enough, maybe she’ll be able to show off her abilities at even bigger events next year.
