When the EPA document came out last month, that held hints about the Ninja 300, it also hinted at a BMW F800GT.
Well, here is a photo that Hell for Leather published on their site today; they claim this shot is of BMW’s latest variation of the F800. We don’t know where they got it from – they didn’t say in the article.
Some folks around the interwebs seem to think this will replace the BMW F800ST for 2013. We’ll likely know more after the Intermot show in Cologne.
Hell for Leather says the EPA document that spilled the beans on the F800GT has been amended to exclude the information now, but it had listed the bike as having 84 hp. Other than that, you’ll have to get details from the photo.
It seems the bike will have a single-sided swingarm, and a high-mounted exhaust; it also looks like there’ll be a belt drive and the same 800 BMW used in the ST.

[…] Rumours about BMW’s F800GT have been swirling since September. We got another look at the bike today at EICMA. […]
If it’s like the last 2 modern BMW’s I’ve owned it will be in the shop more times than in the driveway or on the road. The best thing about BMW’s is the warranty.
What? No 25 levels of traction control? No cassette gearbox? No 12 level power modes? No other useless gimmicky crap that nobody wants or needs?
You mean this is just a motorcycle with good power, good handling, it’s comfortable and gasp – dare I say it? Practical? It’ll never sell in North America.
Won’t sell well here – its not a “ninja”
…or slathered in chrome.
Get rid of those stupid bags and replace them with something similar to what’s now on the R1200 RT.
Exactly. Seems rather pointless unless all you do is putt to and from work and you stuff your lunch in there.
