Since Barret Marketing went bankrupt, Canadian Husqvarna owners have had a rough ride, but that should change pretty soon.
A source at BMW Canada tells us they’re going to be bringing Husqvarna’s bikes back into the country themselves, instead of through a subsidiary. The plan is to have Husqvarna back in business in Canada by September, although they’re still working out some of the details.
Hopefully, the problems Husqvarna’s suffered in the past with importers and distributors won’t pop up again; parent company BMW should bring a lot of stability to the table, as long as they can rebuild the dealer network.
Since Ross Rocher Sales closed, some owners might have been worried about parts supply in the future, but it sounds as if BMW will be bringing parts in from the U.S., so they should hopefully have no problem with availability or wait times.
