Do you want to avoid crashes?

Of course, you need to know how to operate your bike’s brakes, throttle, and clutch safely, but it also helps to know where the majority of crashes occur. And thankfully, B.C.’s public insurance board has put together a tool that gives us that information.

Check it out here! Thanks to the ICBC, we can check out all the vehicle accidents involving motorcycles on public roads (no parking lots, etc) in B.C. from 2007 through 2011.

It’s nothing earth-shattering – we see most accidents happen at intersections, the same as we’ve always known. Motorcyclists need to always be alert for danger, but it’s good to have a reminder that some areas are particularly dangerous.
