Last week, our feature story profiled Costa’s adventures as he ripped around Shannonville in the CSBK Honda CBR250R spec series.

One of the key moments in the story was from the weekend’s second race when Costa pulled off a pass, squeaking around National Post columnist David Booth, who was also racing in the media class. Booth, spooked by the move, ended up in the weeds.

Or did Costa collide with him? Because that’s what Booth is claiming. You can read his perspective of the “dastardly deed done dirt cheap,” as he kiddingly calls it, here – or see the footage of the crash on YouTube below.

  1. Booth was out of control in his braking much like Biaggi in Russia, he ran off line Costas was good he was not the issue in this crash sorry Booth!!!!

    • Uh, these to incidents (Biaggi in Russia, Cost/Booth) have nothing related about them. I tend to agree with what Bungie4 has stated – it was half a pass. I would have hoped that two journalists would have a little more respect for each other. Its not like they’re kids on the way up the racing ladder.

  2. From the tire marks, it looks like cost was on the racing line. Can’t have riders stopping for fallen riders as this lcreates a hazard on the track.

  3. Did Costa manage a complete lap before checking in on MotorMouth as he lay suffering on the ground? Hope he wasn’t hurt. Great viz! SteverinoB
