We’ve got a new long-termer here at CMG – a 2012 Suzuki V-Strom 650!
Editor ‘Arris and Zac have been putting plenty of miles down with the bike since ‘is Editorship picked the machine up in late June, riding all over Ontario, Quebec and the Maritimes.
We’ll have some updates on the bike for you soon, while doing our best to avoid the CMG curse. We’re also on the lookout for some useful aftermarket modifications, so if you’ve got some tips to share, leave us a comment.

Any indication of when they will come out with an updated DL1000…or a DL800…or something with an extra 20Hp for two up touring?

From 20 meters away, it looks less ugly than its predecessor. I’m not sure if that’s a compliment.
Just put Richland Rick’s lowering pegs on my wee strom yesterday. Very nice improvement that my knees really appreciate.
But for your #1 farkle, a fork brace is hard to beat.
#2, imho: Madstad for the windscreen. (Only because I assume you guys won’t be requiring crash bars . . . right?:)
