Johnny Pag update

Here’s Johnny Pag’s 2012 Malibu. This is their softtail model. Styling looks a little less radical than previous models.

Johnny Pag’s Canadian distributors says the first 2012 motorcycles in their lineup are now in the country.

Sven Bernard of W.C. Distributing says the 320cc Malibus have started to arrive, and the Venturas (with the same liquid-cooled vertical twin engine and EFI) are about four weeks out. Customers should expect to see the Malibu on showroom floors shortly – they’re shipping to dealers this week.

MSRP for both the softtail Malibu and hardtail Ventura will be $5,495, as we reported last November.

Bernard also said Johnny Pag has designed a 600cc single-cylinder version of both those bikes as well; he figures MSRP would be about $7,995, but he’s not sure there’s a demand for them, so he may not import them.

Meanwhile, the liquid-cooled 650cc V-twin project we told you about last November has been shelved, in favour of Johnny Pag’s full-size V-twin development.

This massive Chinese motorcycle (the biggest made over there, we figure) will have carburetors and feature traditional American cruiser styling. We weren’t able to get our hands on any photos yet, but we’ll post some when we get them.
