Boorman heads south

Of course, we figure Boorman should have just come back to Canada - our country is big enough that he must have missed plenty the first time around last year.
Of course, we figure Boorman should have just come back to Canada - our country is big enough that he must have missed plenty the first time around last year.

After crossing Canada and having all sorts of adventures along the way last year, Charley Boorman is once again hitting the road for his Extreme Frontiers television series.

It seems he’s decided he’s had enough of the cold, though; this time around, Boorman is skipping the Great White North, and heading for South Africa.

Once there, he’ll travel around the country, taking viewers along as he climbs a mountain, visits Nelson Mandela’s birthplace, goes shark diving, goes paragliding, visits the second highest waterfall in the world, learns how to fly a parajet and goes motorcycling. Yes, we realize some of those exploits are more exciting than others.

The adventures will be broadcast towards the end of 2012 in a series of four one-hour TV specials. While he’s on location, viewers will also be able to follow his adventure somehow on their Kindles.
