Ducati factory closed after earthquake

Ducati's online strategy could be the wave of the future.
Ducati's Twitter feed says their employees are OK, but they want to ensure their factory wasn't damaged.

Ducati’s Bologna factory is closed after the area around the town was hit by an earthquake.

The earthquake, measuring 5.8 on the Richter scale, killed 17 people in the region, although everybody from Ducati is OK. The factory closure is only temporary; the company simply wants to check the building, to make sure there’s no damage.

While you may have to wait a little longer before you can buy your new 1199 superbike, be thankful if you live in a region that’s not prone to natural disasters. The inconvenience of waiting for bikes is a lot better than having to rebuild your house, or your life.
