This weekend in Chatham: Retrofest

Sure, there'll be car stuff there as well, but motorcyclists should have plenty have fun at Retrofest this weekend in Chatham.
Sure, there'll be car stuff there as well, but motorcyclists should have plenty have fun at Retrofest this weekend in Chatham.

This weekend’s 10th-anniversary Retrofest in Chatham features “all things motorcycle,” but vintage motorcyclists will likely enjoy it the most.

The event also features retro cars, but running 10 a.m.-10 p.m. in Chatham’s downtown core on Saturday, May 26, Retrofest features everything from vintage showbikes (including a 1912 Harley-Davidson Silent Gray, a 1912 Flying Merkel Board Track racer and a 1901 E.R. Thomas Autobi)  to a “Thunder Run” tour around the city (pending approval).

There’ll be the usual food, drink and live musical entertainment available at Tecumseh Park, there’ll be a dyno on site, in case you’re wondering how much horsepower your vintage Triumph T100 is pumping out, and there’s going to be a Show ‘n Shine (applications available here). You’ll also be able to check out vendors’ wares at the Two Wheel Market Place.

Admission is free, but there are also door prizes available by signing up here. You can find out more details on the event here; there’s stuff going on on Friday night before the motorcycle events as well, but Friday evening is more car-oriented.
