Last weekend, Ducati North America announced their sales figures rose again, for the seventh quarter in a row.

Ducati’s 2012 Q1 sales were up 10.2 per cent in North America over the first quarter of 2011. That continues a trend that’s been going on for over three years now, in what’s become Ducati’s largest market.

While this is already pretty stellar performance in an industry that’s certainly seen some rough times in recent years, Ducati also had fantastic growth in sales of other items – their clothing and accessories lineup saw a 98 per cent increase over their 2011 numbers. Apparently, fans of the Italian bikes are following Harley-Davidson enthusiasts examples, and buying the T-shirts as well.

This summer, Ducati should continue to see sales growth, as they’re bringing the 1199 Panigale superbike and the Streetfighter 848 to showroom floors soon, as well as the Diavel Cromo, a blinged-out version of last year’s popular muscle cruiser.
