Originally released for iPhone last August, Pirelli’s Diablo Super Biker app is now available for Android phones as well.

If you’ve got a smart phone, it’d be a good idea to check out the free app – it’s a great way to keep track of your motorcycling performance. It keeps track of the distance you ride, your lap times, and your lean angles. It’s easy to use – all you have to do is set the phone to street or track mode, and the app will record all your data in motion.

The app also integrates with Google Maps, to take a “snapshot” of your riding performance in certain situations, and the app will record your route on the map. You can then compare routes traveled, and even share your ride data on Facebook. Be careful, though – it’s situations like this that land throttle-happy riders with big fines …

The app is available in seven languages, including English and French, and is compatible with any iPad, iPod Touch, or iPhone device with the operating system upgraded to at least version 4.2; you’ll need an iPhone 4 for lean angle measurement. And of course, it’s compatible with Android-based devices.
