A year ago, they couldn’t find a buyer. Now, Moto Morini has announced they’re bringing a new model to market.
The historic Italian manufacturer has been struggling with financial difficulties for a while now, but after finally finding a new owner last summer, they seem to have their feet back underneath them. They’ll have the  Corsaro Veloce, Granpasso and Scrambler available in 2013, as well as a new naked bike, the Rebello.
Of course, there plenty of aggressive nakeds on the market these days, but it seems Moto Morini thinks their machine’s specs will lift it over the rest. It’s powered by an eight-valve, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected 1187cc V-twin, putting out 130 hp and 122 nm of torque through a six-speed gearbox with anti-hop wet clutch.
Brakes are from Brembo, with twin 320mm disc units up front with four-piston calipers, and a single 220mm disc with a two-piston caliper in rear.
The bike has a tube steel trellis frame, multi-adjustable 50mm Marzocchi USD front fork, fully adjustable Öhlins monoshock, and a seat that electronically adjusts from a solo to a two-up unit. Wheels are 17-inch units, front and rear. The bike weighs 198kg dry.
The price tag? A hefty 13,900 euros. But if you really must have one, the company is going to produce 600 of these bikes for early 2012 sales.
