Elena Myers has undergone surgery for an injury likely suffered last season.

Myers, had a broken wrist diagnosed just before she  became the first woman to win a AMA Pro sprint road race at Daytona, when she took the second SuperSport race there last month. The 18-year-old hotshot figures she broke it in a supermoto crash last season.

The surgeon found a large piece of fractured bone in her left wrist, and screwed everything back together. Supposedly, Myers will be ready to race for the upcoming Atlanta round; now that she’s 100 per cent healthy, who knows how far she’ll go?
