Apparently, nobody is immune from being charged with Ontario’s stunting laws.
According to CBC News, an off-duty Ottawa cop out for a motorcycle ride found that out the hard way when police allegedly clocked him at 202 km/h and charged him with stunt driving.
After they caught up with him, Yannick Bernard’s license was suspended for seven days, and his motorcycle impounded, the article says. The top cops put him on desk duty, and chief Charles Bordelea has got the Professional Standard Section looking into the situation.
It will be interesting to see of this gets swept under the rug “internally”.
