The popular Atlanticade motorcycle rally has announced they’ll be supporting Summerside’s Boys and Girls Club this summer.
This is the first year for Atlanticade in their new location; the biker festival will run June 28 – July 2 in Summerside, PEI this summer. In its sixth year, the festival was previously held in the New Brunswick towns of St. Andrews and Moncton.
Now, Atlanticade’s organizers say Summerside’s Boys and Girls Club will be the festival’s featured charity for 2012. The move came about after a chance lunchtime meeting between Atlanticade organizer Dale Hicks and the club’s executive director, Adam Binkley.
The festival will raise money for the club through various means, including part of the 50/50 take and food sales. Funds raised at the festival’s Harley draw, Best-in-Show contest and at the closing awards breakfast auction will also go to the club,
