The MotoGP test at Malaysia’s Sepang track wrapped up yesterday, with Honda once again on top.
Honda’s factory team and satellite riders had taken Wednesday off, while engineers examined the engine Dani Pedrosa fragged on Tuesday. The rainy conditions didn’t help either.
But, Big Red came charging back to the front of the pack yesterday, with 2011 world champion Casey Stoner setting the best time, with Pedrosa right behind him. Yamaha’s Andrea Dovizioso was third, Jorge Lorenzo fourth, and Cal Crutchlow fifth.
Ducati riders Valentino Rossi and Nicky Hayden weren’t having a great time, with Rossi coming in at tenth position and Hayden right behind him. Ducati had hoped for much better results than that from the new GP12 supperbike.
