Barret Marketing, Canada’s Husqvarna distributor for the last couple of years, is bankrupt.

Apparently, the company filed for protection from creditors in early February (more details here).

That has big implications for Husqvarna owners in Canada – it’s hard to get parts if there’s no distributors. Thankfully, a source tells us Husqvarna Motorcycles North America and BMW Motorrad Canada are currently looking at various options to ensure that there is no disruption to the Canadian business or existing retailers. Translation: parts are on their way. Hopefully, dealers will be able to weather this change smoothly.

Barret, of course, has been in the motorcycle distribution business for years; in the past, they’ve dealt with KTM, Husaberg, and Triumph.

  1. If any current Husqvarna customer or dealer is in need of parts for their bike call Rob at Ross Rocher Sales in Stratford, ONT.  We have made arrangements with Husqvarna to get parts shippped from the USA daily.  We have tons of  Husky parts in stock and ship anywhere in Canada.  (519)393-6660

    Thank you

    • Ross Rocher Sales is now closed, No Frills made an offer to buy the property and Ross accepted. I have bought the motorcycle business and will be continuing with Husky parts and the Gas Gas line. I purchased all the parts inventory and ordering parts as usual (519)601 7623
