We almost thought that there was one weekend of no motorcycle shows this winter and then we found the “World of Motorcycles Expo” in Hamilton, Ontario. Sure, it’s not one of the MMIC sponsored shows, sure none of the manufacturers will be e there and sure, it’s in Hamilton, but don’t let that put you off.
The World of Motorcycles Expo is its own traveling circus, with the first stop in Hamilton, the next in London (10-12 Feb) and the last one in Kitchener (10-11 Mar). Yes it’s all S.E. Ontario, so if you’re there you can catch all three!
But what do you get at the WME if not the big importers with their bulging booths of new bikes? Well there’s some riding demos by JP McArdle (a very experienced teacher and a 7-time international overall police motorcycle champion), a bike auction, a load of local dealers, a load of gear sellers, a load of ‘premier’ magazines, a load of clubs, a load of insurance brokers and a lawyer. Yes, one lawyer, but how many do you need anyway? Oh and a custom bike show.
The Hamilton stop of the WME takes place at the Careport Centre, 270 Longwood Rd S., Hamiliton (which we assume is very close to Hamilton), ON . Times are Friday Jan 27th – 2pm to 10pm, Saturday Jan 28th – 9am to 5pm, Sunday Jan 29th – 10am to 5pm. Admission is $15 for adults but kids 12 yrs and under are FREE.  More info on this and the other WME at their website.
