
You could say 2011 was good to BMW Motorrad.
The German motorcycle manufacturer managed to deliver 104,286 units in 2011, up 6.4 per cent from 2010’s 98,047 units sold. Its previous best year was 102,467 units in 2007.
BMW didn’t just set a sales record for their company, either; they also increased their market share in the over-500cc category by more than 12 per cent, continuing a growth trend that’s been holding for years now.
Not everyone in the BMW group was a winner, though; Husqvarna saw sales drop 23 per cent from 2010 numbers, only delivering 9,286 units.
