New calendars from motojournalism.com

If you think that motorcycling is about more than riding to Tim Hortons and back, this might be the calendar for you.
If you think that motorcycling is about more than riding to Tim Hortons and back, this might be the calendar for you.

If you fancy a motorcycle calendar, Anthony Kerr over at Motojournalism.com has got a couple new ones for 2012 that are worth checking out.

These aren’t your standard 12 months of billet barges, chrome queens, and bikini babes. Instead, one is an adventure travel calendar, with colour images from anywhere from the Darien Gap to Baja.

The other features black-and-white photos of  vintage motorcycles, but this is no Concours D’Elegance showpiece – these are all well-used bikes with plenty of miles on the clocks.

If you want a bike calendar featuring real-world riding and machines, these could be the answer. They’ll set you back $14 on MagCloud; click here for more info on the calendar.

Anthony is also working on a documentary film project these days that he hopes to release in January in conjunction with Ontario off-road e-mag Traction. The film focuses on two friends who love to ride off-road – and they’re pretty hard-core about it. They’re so hard-core that they each have around 50 years of dirt experience, and they’re still riding hard.

The film will have the riders sharing their thoughts on physical conditioning, riding technique, changes in bike technology, and the never-ending joys of motorcycling, along with plenty of vintage dirt bikes and lots of riding footage.

You can get a sneak peek at the documentary’s progress at Anthony’s website; the trailer is below.
