This year’s Canadian Superbike champ, Brett McCormick, has signed with Effenbert Liberty’s World Superstock team.
We originally reported this weeks ago, but later developments left us wondering if we’d made a mistake – despite what we’d heard, McCormick didn’t have any contract inked, and the word on the street was that he wasn’t sure of his future.
But, Effenbert Liberty announced today that McCormick’s awesome performance at their Portimao tests was enough to earn him a ride with their Superstock team next season.
McCormick will be riding Ducati’s 1199 Panigale, and his first official appearance for the team will be at a three-day session of private testing at Australia’s Phillips Island circuit.
Good to know we now have a Canadian to root for on the world scene.
