Brett McCormick impressed during World Superbike testing in Portimao, Portugal last week, so much so he’s signed to ride with Team Effenbert Liberty.

McCormick will be riding a Ducati, but it’s unknown at this point if he’s be competing in Superbike or Supertock 1000. Regardless, we wish him the best of luck.

Below is an excerpt from Ducatiblog.net.

Team Effenbert Liberty will field four riders next year, Sylvain Guintoly which was confirmed after Portimao round, Jakub Smrz, Maxime Berger the ex pilot of Supersonic Ducati and Brett McCormick.

Many of the riders used the testing day after Portimao round to get in touch for the first time with their new teams and bikes.

Brett McCormick is the less known rider of them four at Effenbert. He is the Canadian SBK champion and AMA Superbike rider which got this great opportunity to enter in a world series championship.

  1. Way to go Brett. It’s been a long time since Canada has been represented on the WSBK grid.
