Friday Fudge

Welcome to Friday Fudge – a weekly round up of the more ‘unusual’ motorcycle related stories that are just too silly to post on their own, but raise a much bigger chortle when you slap them all together and take the piss.

A hot engine

Ever see someone obnoxiously revving the snot out of their bike, and wish they’d learn their lesson the hard way? The hero of this video seems to be in love with the sound he gets from a quick twist of the wrist, until his bike does a burnout – literally.

Tiny Tim meets Evel Knievel

That's pretty big air for a disabled guy. Photo: Daily Mail

Take a moment, and think of the less fortunate. Like 20-year-old Jake Preston of the U.K. who claimed to be suffering from Syringomyelia, a condition that left him needing around-the-clock care.

As a result he claimed thousands of Pounds of government benefits for his disability. That was until someone filmed him at a motocross race.

No, he wasn’t in the stands watching, he was racing, and doing quite well. He said he had a hard time handling stairs, but apparently he has no problem with whoops or jumps.

In court, the truth came out – Preston’s been racing motocross ever since he was 10 years old, and he’s nowhere near as sick as he pretended. Now, he has to perform community service, pay court costs, and repay the swindled benefits.

We hope the judge doesn’t get his hopes up, though – we’re betting Preston won’t repay a nickel (or shilling). After all, 10 years of motocross racing can be pretty expensive…

Man, or Superman?

Pickup truck? We don't need no stinking pickup truck! Photo: Pawan Kumar/Reuters

Don’t you just hate taking your broken-down cycle to the shop? It’s a pain in the butt to borrow a pickup truck to cart the machine down to your wrench-spinner, and it’s expensive to hire a towing service.

Solution? Just move to India and make friends with health trainer Rahul Tiwari! As you can see from the photo, he has the problem of moving motorcycles well in hand.

Someone give the guy a Goldwing!

A bad place to walk

Walking is healthy, the experts tell us. Getting out for a bit of exercise every day keeps your body fit and your mind fresh.

Unless, of course, you decide to go for a walk on an active dirt bike track – in which case your mind probably isn’t very fresh at all. And you’re body? Well, also a little less fit as well. Watch the video below!
