Problem: On certain motorcycles, the wiring harness for the evaporative purge valve could contact the exhaust and become damaged. This could result in an electrical short, which could cause the Engine Control Module fuse to fail, and the engine to stall, which could possibly result in a crash.
Correction: Dealers will inspect and, if necessary, reposition the wiring harness.
That’ll teach ’em for screwing up a perfectly good engine with an “evaporative purge control.”
