Want to show that deep down, you're just a great big teddy bear? Then show up this weekend at the Toys for Tots run.

If you’re looking for something to do this weekend, why not head up to the New Brunswick/Nova Scotia border for the Toys for Tots run?

Held since 1987, this year’s run will start in the McDonald’s parking lot in Sackville at 2 p.m. Saturday. It’ll head through town, then along back roads to Dorchester and then back to Sackville. Motorcyclists must bring along a toy or a cash donation if they wish to participate. If you can’t make the run but you still want to help out, you can drop off donations at the Sackville McDonald’s, the Civic Centre, or Crescent Automotive on the day of the run.

Later in the evening, there will be a fundraiser concert featuring Matt Minglewood and Theresa Malenfant at the Sackville Civic Centre.

For those not in the know, Sackville is CMG head honcho Editor ‘Arris’s new hometown, and ‘Arris promised one of the organisers that he’d mention the run. The organizer just so happens to work at the liquor store, so ‘Arris was hoping it might lead to some discount scotch..
