Bike Week Canada to run Labour Day weekend

Organizers are hoping for 40,000 people to attend Bike Week Canada 2011 - but we bet they won't all enter the wheelie contest.

If you’ve got nothing else going on during the Labour Day weekend (highly unlikely, we know), then you might want to consider Bike Week Canada 2011.

Running in Quebec Sept. 2-5 at the Sanair Racetrack in St-Pie, the event looks like it’s got a pretty busy schedule – organizers have lined up many musicians to perform, including Bachman and Turner, Carl Tremblay, Roch Voisine, a Shania Twain tribute (sadly, not the real thing) and others.

Other fixtures of rootin’, tootin’ motorcycle festivals, including a wheelie competition, a mini-lapping competition, and drag strip action are all slated to run. There’s also going to be a Miss Bike Week Canada competition.

Want to know more? Details about ticket prices, accommodations, and all that other boring stuff is available at the festival’s website here.
