If you like to ride in southern Ontario, here’s something you should take a look at. The Southwest Ontario Tourism Corporation is working on a new motorcycle tourism strategy, and they need your help.

In their quest to improve motorcycle tourism in their area, the group has an online survey they want you to fill out. They’re hoping to use the information to give riders a better experience when riding through the region, which includes Chatham-Kent, Elgin, Haldimand, London, Middlesex, Norfolk, Oxford, Sarnia-Lambton and Windsor-Essex-Pelee.

The survey closes this Sunday, so go to the site and fill it out, before it expires – it’s in every motorcyclist’s best interest to help make the area more bike-friendly. And, if you’ve never ridden southern Ontario before but your interest is piqued, you can check out this site for more information, including weather forecast, a riding map and motorcycle event information for the area. It’s worth a visit!

  1. That’ll be interesting, there are some nice roads along lakes and rivers but the inland stuff is pretty dreary.
I used to ride from Chatham to my friends place in Sarnia.  There is exactly one curvy spot in the road along the way and I would wait with the anticipation of leaning into the sweeper.  Sadly this would always be the place where a slow car would show up…
