Stolen bikes recovered in Toronto

Were you the victim of a motorcycle theft in the Greater Toronto Area? If so, the police may have found the culprits responsible.

Toronto Police have filed 302 charges against six men allegedly involved in a vehicle theft ring, the Toronto Sun reported last week.

The men were arrested after reportedly stealing a car outfitted with a GPS tracer. Police followed the signal and collared their suspects while discovering a load of stolen vehicles, including 16 motorcycles.

That’s already a respectable haul – 16 motorcycles is a significant number of stolen machines – but police say there have been over 200 similar bike thefts in the GTA, and that the suspects can expect more charges in the days to come.

Police estimated the value of recovered property, including cars, at $500,000, and say they also found drugs during the raid as well.

You can visit the Toronto Sun’s website for a video about the arrests. Who knows? You may see your stolen bike.
