Want a dual-sport challenge? Quebec’s GS Challenge Habiletes runs again this year on June 3 and 4.
The Challenge, in its fifth year, looks a bit different this time, as organizer Moto Internationale of Montreal has taken some of the race aspect away and is aiming for a rally-style event similar to ones held in Germany.
The weekend’s grand prize isn’t even based on points from the event; the prize, an all-expenses-paid motorcycle travel adventure with Tomm Wolf and his BMW travel and training company Malelobo (www.malelobo.com), will be awarded through a draw – going faster will give you bragging rights and maybe broken bodywork, but that’s it.
The rally is open to motorcycles 600 cc and over, and you’ll obviously need a dual-sport for the technical challenges through the on- and off-road course. It’s suitable for riders of all skill levels; riders will compete in teams of two.
Meals will be provided both evenings of the event; the cost of enrollment is $149.99. For more information, visit www.gschallenge.ca, or call 1-800-871-6686. You can check out the video below for a quick peek at the 2009 rally.
