Suzuki Recall (#2010268)
Models Involved: 2008-2010 models, listed below
Number of Vehicles: 8,828
Suzuki is recalling 8,828 motorcycles and ATVs in Canada due to possible charging system defects.

The company issued a recall last month affecting 2008 to 2010 Suzuki models built between July 2007 and September 2009. The recall stems from problems with the with regulator/rectifier that may warp, leading to excessive heat and possibly uncontrolled electrical output. This could drain the battery completely, leaving the rider stranded with no electrical power or possibly stalling the engine while riding. Suzuki will replace the regulator-rectifier unit.

Affected motorcycles:
2008-2010 DL1000 V-STROM 1000
2008-2010 DL1000SE V-STROM 1000SE

Does it really matter what type of Boulevard it is since they all come off of the same line?

Well our Suzuki Blvd is in the list so a visit to the dealer is in order. Have a bigger issue to deal with….anyone know of a recall for drive shaft/differential failure?
I guess they really do build them like they used to.
Nice to see that the V-Strom 1000 came through without a recall :p
