Heather Ireland and the Biker TV crew will be there too.

The 2011 Atlantic Motorycle and ATV show kicks off this Friday in Moncton at the Moncton Coliseum.

Running Feb. 11-13, this show gives Atlantic Canadians a good chance to check out this year’s bikes, gear, and other motorcycle-related services and products; if you’re from out of town, you can even combine the weekend with a romantic getaway for Valentine’s Day, though good luck with that.

The obvious representatives from Honda, Yamaha, and the other major Japanese manufacturers will be there, along with Harley-Davidson and other North American representatives and European outfits like KTM and Triumph; you can even check out Chinese bikes from Saga again this year.

Adventure rider Rene Cormier will be at the show with his BMW F650GS, sharing stories of his ride around the world, and Biker TV’s Heather Ireland will host a discussion during the Women on Wheels event that runs 5 p.m. – 9 p.m. on Saturday night.

Kids 6-12 can take advantage of a free Yamaha Riding Academy on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, and if you’re a thrifty new rider, Safety Services New Brunswick is offering a $50 discount on their motorcycle safety course for those who sign up and pay for the course at the show.

Representatives from Maritime tourism regions and motorcycle rallies will have information at the show, if you need help planning your getaway rides for this summer.

Visit www.masterpromotions.ca for more information about the show, including a coupon for an admission discount (regularly $10 for adults, $8 for senior and students, though children under 10 get in for free). The show runs 12 p.m. – 9 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. – 9 p.m. Saturday, and 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Sunday.
