The Holiday inn is actually quite schmancy
Okay, let me kick this update off with an apology to all Mad Bastards who were eager to sign up for the 2011 rally this morning. Registration has been moved back a month to March 1st, 2011.
We thought we could get away with an
earlier registration this year (usually we start April 1st) but soon remembered that January is a bugger of a month for CMG related work, which
is why we don’t start registrations in Feb!
Anyway, when registrations do open they will be staggered to allow
for the smaller capacity classes to enter first. Space is limited and
slots will be awarded on a first come first served basis.
On the more organized front, we can now confirm that the event’s hotel will be the Holiday Inn and Conference Centre
in Barrie, which is handily located just off the 400 Highway at Essa
Road. We chose this hotel not just for its excellent facilities but
also its ease of access (it’s a little over an hour from Toronto –
traffic allowing).
They have our support.
Eager Bastards can book their room by calling 1-877-728-6191 and telling them that they’re with the rally to get the reduced rate. However, we recommend that you wait till you have registered in the rally before doing so as spaces are limited and there’s no guarantee that you’re in till, well, you’re in!
And finally, after raising over $16,000 for the Kids Help Phone
at the 2009 rally, we’ve decided to keep our partnership with this
nationwide organization that has been helping Canadian children for over
20 years.
Oh, and one more thing. We just realized that You Tube accepts HD video so have uploaded the 5 minute doc of the 2009 Rally in glorious HD with added Technicolour and Bastard-O-Vision.
