Dorothy and her Gold Wing

Motorcyclist Dorothy Seabourne still racking up the mileage at age 70.

If you live in Fonthill, Ontario, you might want to check out your local library on January 23.

While loud and proud bikers may not normally spend much time in the book-filled quiet zone, that’s when motorcyclist Dorothy Seabourne will be sharing riding stories from her new book, I Did: You Can Too, available at amazon.ca.

Not interested yet? Try this: Dorothy isn’t your average rider. She’s travelled the world, from mountain ranges in the U.S. to Germany and the Swiss Alps. And, she still rides Silver Ghost—her 2005 Honda Gold Wing—at age 70.

The Welland Tribune has an interesting feature on Dorothy, with a few adventure tales from the road.

She’ll be appearing at the Pelham Public Library, located at 43 Pelham Town Square, Fonthill, Ontario on Jan. 23 at 2 pm.

Oh, it’ll cost you $2.50 but anyone who’s stuck with riding that long must have some interesting stories to share.
