New owner, old editor

New owner for Cycle News.

Cycle News has been given a dose of CPR, and might even come back to something like its former life.

The weekly motorcycle news tabloid is once again being run by its former editor, who left just before it ceased printing in August.

Paul Carruthers was editor of Cycle News since 1994 and had worked there for years before that. But on Aug. 31, 2010, the newspaper stopped the presses for good. It has run as a website magazine since then.

Now, the Motorsport Aftermarket Group has bought Cycle News and hired Carruthers back to run it. Carruthers said he is confident about the future of the magazine, but no one has specifically stated that a print edition is being considered.
