BMW Concept C

A BMW scooter. Who’d have thunk it?

Not much is known about a super-scooter BMW unveiled at the EICMA show in Milan, called the Concept C. Although the "C" stands for commuter, this machine definitely leans towards the sporty end of the scooter segment.

Yamaha’s TMAX has met its match.

The Concept C is said to combine the handling of a motorcycle (a sport bike from the looks of it) with the comfort and weather protection of a scooter.

It has an inverted fork and single piggyback shock made by Marzocchi, and massive brakes that include triple discs, with six-piston radial calipers up front, a three-piston caliper in the rear and stainless brake lines all around.

Although no info is given on the engine type, it uses an automatic CVT. Perhaps another indication that this will be a high-performance scooter is that the exhaust on the bike pictured is made by Vance & Hines.

Although the Concept C is a concept vehicle right now, BMW says there are plans to produce it in the BMW plant in Berlin.

  1. Sorry, wasn’t taken that way, but I did end up spending most of the day in potential damage control which does not a ‘appy ‘arris make …

  2. I wasn’t accusing you of anything. I like HFL and I like you guys too. I read both sites more than my employers would like.

  3. Before jumping to conclusions, you should actually read what was written here and what was written at HFL about this machine. You’ll find that we gather our own info, if not all of the images. 🙂
