New GSX-R for 2011.

Suzuki has leaked a sketch of its 2011 sportbike in either 600 or 750 cc engine size.

The company is not releasing details of either bike, but both are unofficially claimed to resemble this picture.

The new Gixxers will be unveiled at the Intermot show, which opens on Oct. 5, but for now, some details are apparent.

The nose appears to be narrowed and given a vertical headlight arrangement similar to the 1000’s. There are four intake ram-air openings and a windscreen that seems to be much longer than what’s found on other sportbikes.

The exhaust looks like a four-into-one system, but the muffler appears to be slimmer and rounder than the triangular bricks found on current bikes.

Not every detail in the sketch will necessarily be found on the new GSX-Rs, but some that are not apparent will likely be included, such as new motors and redesigned frames that shed a few kilos.

  1. Yawn.

In the land of straight roads and Fantino’s Gestapo, these latest race bikes with plates are just irrelevant. I guess I might feel different if I lived in Spain…
