A week after unceremoniously firing Editor Paul Carruthers, who’d been with the magazine for 25 years, Cycle News has announced it will cease publication.
Cycle News specialized in race reporting, on everything from grassroots amateur events to MotoGP.
The downturn in the U.S. economy has greatly affected the motorcycle industry, and combined with shrinking ad revenue and the increasing trend of people to gravitate towards the Internet, it seems the weekly just couldn’t cope.
You can read Carruthers announcement on his blog.
