MV Agusta F4 – Italian beauty in Italian hands.
MV Agusta has gone home.
The motorcycle manufacturer has
been repurchased by Claudio and Giovanni Castiglioni, who bought 100 percent of
the shares of MV Agusta Motor S.p.A. from Harley-Davidson.
The company will be run by
Giovanni Castiglioni and a 62-year-old engineer, Massimo Bordi, who has managed
Ducati when that company was owned by the Castiglioni family and later by Texas
Pacific Group.
Bordi predicted that MV Agusta
will "once again become a major player in the high luxury brand motorbikes." He
said new models are under development.
Claudio Castiglioni will
continue as chairman of MV Agusta and will concentrate on the development of
the new products.
