Tour maps for S.Ontario

Not the twistiest roads, but good sight-seeing tours in southern Ontario.

A motorcycle club and a tourism agency
have teamed up to attract riders to southern Ontario this summer.

The Waterloo Regional Tourism Marketing
Corporation and the Southern Cruisers Riding Club have designed a
series of bike tours for the Waterloo Region. Club road captains
toured and documented "every road in Waterloo Region" according
to the tourism marketing agency, and mapped out "the Region’s
premier motorcycle riding roads."

Eight riding tours were documented,
with points of interest, in the cities of Cambridge, Kitchener, and
Waterloo, and the townships of North Dumfries, Wellesley, Wilmot, and
Woolwich.

From the tourism agency’s press release: "The Southern cruisers CRC has did
[sic] an excellent job designing trails showing the Region, while
also considering rider safety," said Susan Cudahy, general manager,
Waterloo Regional Tourism Marketing Corporation. "Thoughtfully
designed tours provide visitors with an opportunity to discover
interesting back-roads and areas that are usually only known to
locals."

Most of the tours are relatively short
and consist of ordinary countryside and Mennonite farm areas.

  2. I sure miss Biker Lad. Anyone remember him?
That guy used to scout out all the best riding roads in S.O. and post maps on his site.
