Emilie Poucan was no stranger to flight.

Journalists who covered the world’s toughest rally over the
past six years are mourning the loss of someone who is said to have been a
great help on the job.

Emilie Poucan, 32, was in charge of assisting the press
during the Dakar rally since 2004. She was killed in the crash of an Airbus
A330 at Tripoli on May 13.

Poucan, who had gone to South Africa to celebrate her
birthday, was the only French citizen on board the plane.

A young Dutch passenger survived the crash at Tripoli
airport, but the other 103 passengers and crew members died.
