A festival celebrating both sides of
the socio-economic spectrum — the mods and the rockers, that is —
will be held once again at the Centre of the Universe this summer.
Toronto’s motorcycling and scootering
communities will come together in a celebration of "the legacy and
lifestyle" of the two Beatles-era groups, one known for overdressed
Labrettas and dapper clothing, the other for Triumph Bonnies and a
Fonzie look. And along with the celebrations will come vintage
motorcycles and scooters, rock-and-roll and Motown music, burlesque
performances, and good food.
