Rene Cormier, the world traveller whose
exploits were featured in CMG, will be among seminar speakers at BMW
Motorrad’s Summerfest rally this year.
Cormier spent five years travelling the
world on a BMW F650GS and has recently published a book, "The
University of Gravel Roads," about his extended motorcycle
adventure.
He’ll be joined on the platform by David Hatch, who
produces the "Motorcycle Experience" television show, Paul
Mondor, who rode across Canada in full-on winter on an F650GS, and
Norm Wells, BMW Motorrad Canada director.
Other features of the annual BMW
festival will include appearances by freestyle stunt champion Chris
Pfeiffer, who will demonstrate his remarkable abilities on a BMW
F800R; test rides of on- and off-road BMW motorcycles (using a 30 km
snowmobile trail as well as local roads); and vendor displays
featuring all kinds of goodies for BMWs and other motorcycles.
