Emissions explained

Environment Canada will present information sessions on motorcycle emissions rules just before the MMIC motorcycle shows in Toronto, Vancouver, and Montreal.

The sessions are free and are geared for street-bike manufacturers and importers.

The regulations concerning emissions testing will be explained, as well as things like "year-end subfleet averaging and reporting."

The first will be held in Toronto on Thursday at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre in Room 802B. Next is the Tradex Exhibition Centre near Vancouver on Jan. 20, and last is Feb. 25 at the Palais de Congrès de Montréal at the Montreal Motorcycle Show. All sessions run from 1–3:30 p.m.

If you’re in the biz and want to attend one of these sessions, send a note to Tim Stover at the MMIC.

  1. Gee Irwin. Why don’t you try backing up your story with some real stats or other information that can be confirmed…Other than in your world!

  2. Small displacement engines operated for a few hours a week during the summer months. Yeah, sounds a useful way to spend a few million tax dollars. We can be happy that some civil servants’ offspring has got a cushy job for life out of it.
