BMW Recall (#2009268)

R1200GS_rt_side_bg.jpgModels Involved: 2007-2009 R1200GS

Number of Vehicles: 469

Problem: On certain motorcycles, the
fuel pump control unit may be subject to water intrusion which, in time, will
cause it to fail. Engine stalling
would result in lost propulsion which, in conjunction with traffic and road
conditions, and the rider’s reactions, could increase the risk of a crash.

Correction:
Dealers will inspect and, if necessary, replace the fuel
pump control unit.

BMW Recall (#2009272)

R1200RT_rsf_sm.jpgModels Involved: 2007-2009 R1200RTP

Number of Vehicles: 51

Problem:
On certain motorcycles, vibrations that occur while riding
could cause the front brake lines to develop leaks, allowing brake fluid to
escape. Brake fluid leakage could
eventually result in a loss of front braking capability, which could cause a
vehicle crash with personal injury or death.

Correction: Dealers will replace the front brake hoses with updated
versions.

Ducati Recall (#2009274)

streetfighter_rsf.jpgModels Involved: 2009 1098R & 1198S, 2010 F1098S Streetfighter

Number of Vehicles: 84

Problem: On certain motorcycles, a fuel hose may become disconnected
from the fuel pump assembly.Any
loss of fuel pressure would cause engine stalling which, in conjunction with
traffic and road conditions, and the rider’s reactions, could increase the risk
of a crash.

Correction: Dealers will inspect and, if necessary, replace and reposition the fuel hose retaining clamp.

Ducati Recall (#2009275)

streetfighter_lsf.jpgModels Involved: 2010 F1098S Streetfighter

Number of Vehicles: 25

Problem: On certain motorcycles, improper tightening of the Engine Control Unit (ECU) ground screw during vehicle assembly could cause intermittent erratic operation and engine stalling. Engine stalling would result in lost propulsion which, in conjunction with traffic and road conditions, and the rider’s reactions, could increase the risk of a crash.

Correction: Dealers will tighten the ECU ground screw.

Ducati Recall (#2009276)

desmosedicirr.jpgModels involved: 2008 Desmosedici RR

Number of Vehicles: 29

Problem: On certain motorcycles, the design of the seat tail guard may not allow enough clearance for the exhaust system. This could result in a vehicle fire causing property damage, personal injury or death.

Correction: Dealers will replace the seat tail guard with an updated version.
