TOMA ride cancelled

The TOMA Foundation’s annual ride for burned kids has been cancelled because of a lack of willing volunteers.

The ride, which normally takes place in the Toronto-Hamilton area in late September, was called off because there were not enough volunteers to work the scouting points on the second leg of the ride.

The situation occurred suddenly and left organizers without sufficient time to recruit the needed help. The foundation’s excecutive committee hopes to reorganize the ride and get it operational next year.

The TOMA Foundation for Burned Children provides material assistance to children who have been burned, and education about prevention of burns to the general public.
