Canadians will see some new Yamahas in the 2010 line-up, including a motocrosser with a backwards engine, a new XV1900 cruiser, and a YZF-R1 styled like Valentino Rossi’s MotoGP bike.
The YZ450F has a reversed, rear-slanted, fuel-injected four-stroke motor, in which the fuel injector throttle body and airbox are out front, while a "Tornado" design exhaust pipe exits from the rear of the cylinder.
Yamaha says the design change is meant to further centralize mass and produce a lighter feel.
The XV1900 Stratoliner Deluxe cruiser will feature a hard fairing with a small windscreen, integrated speakers that are wired for your iPod, and colour-matched saddlebags.
The Rossi Replica YZF-R1 is a standard R1 but looks like Rossi’s race bike. Nothing more to say about that. You can buy one, but you still won’t be a doctor.
A “backwards” engine on the yzf? Some of the Britbike owners were reversing the heads on their bikes in the ’60’s 0r 70’s to improve the cooling and intake.
I was REALLY HOPING that yamaha would bring the TDM900 to Canada this year. :p
why don’t they just sell big harleys i their show room
I mean with that bat wing fairing they are not even trying anymore
just stealing
How about the XT660? Please? Pretty please?
