A small group of riders will set off from the eastern U.S. in a few days to memorialize the journey of Flight 93, which was brought down in a terrorist attack on Sept. 11, 2001.

Five core riders will set off from Newark International Airport at 8:42 a.m., the departure time of Flight 93. They intend to reach San Francisco International Airport on Sept. 11 around the time that Flight 93 would have landed there if it had not been hijacked.

Louis Joseph Nacke II (Joey) was a passenger on the doomed flight. Family and friends of Joey will make up the core group of riders. Other riders are expected to join in. See ridewiththe40.org for more.
