A cross-Canada rally will start Saturday in St. John’s, Newfoundland, and is scheduled to conclude on September 2 on Vancouver Island.
The rally will raise money for blind children and Canadian military personnel, and participants for the British Columbia leg of the ride are still needed.
Organizers want riders who have some affiliation with a uniform — retired or active military people, civilian police, Blue Knights, and so on.
The B.C. portion of the rally starts August 30 at Jasper.
Riders will carry a stuffed military police bear as a baton that will be passed from team to team.
Participants will pay $50 to join in, and money raised will go to the Military Police Fund for
Blind Children, and to the Support Our Troops Campaign.
